Germany’s big house concert event to kick off the Beethoven anniversary year 2020.
The Beethoven anniversary year 2020 started on December 14 and 15, 2019 with Wumms. And brought the radical innovator of music back to its roots – the house concerts. Over 800 concerts, readings, lectures and performances celebrated the genius of the man from Bonn in private living rooms, in shops, club rooms and foyers, in clubs and churches throughout Germany.
How could you get involved?
As an artist / Whether professional or amateur, everyone could participate. The only requirement: the event was related to Beethoven. You could register on the website with a program idea – regardless of whether you already had a performance location or not.
As a host / It doesn’t take much to enjoy music. A living room, a musician and some nice people listening to the music. Everyone could be hosts. Even if you were still looking for artists or certain genres, we mediated.
As a visitor / All events and information could and still can be found at www.beethovenbeiuns.de, available seats could be reserved directly online. Admission was free.
